Presentation of the new image of Russian News Agency RIA NOVOSTI in the Embassy of Russian Federation in Mexico. October, 11th 2008

“I think that the purpose of our today’s meeting is very special and really important. Today we present a new image of the Russian News Agency RIA NOVOSTI, a company that is well known to the Mexican public during many years under the name of APN. Now we open a new page in its presence in Mexico and in Latin America”

The presentation of RIA NOVOSTI was a grand success. It was for the first time when leading Mexican and foreign mass media had an opportunity to get the data about the info products of the leading multimedia information agency in Russia.

The participants of the presentation were offered the info lines and web-sites in nine languages, texts, photos, info graphics, audio, video, animation and caricatures widely used by the agency for the operative overview of the events in Russia and abroad.

A big interest was shown for the information about a modern multimedia newsroom of the agency that has no analogs in Russia. The representatives of the leading Mexican and foreign mass media highly appreciated the opportunities of RIA Novosti in distribution of information about Russia and showed their interest in the cooperation with the agency.

“We are glad that the Russian information agency told us about its opportunities. The information about your country can be of use in Mexico and in Latin America. I think that the services we were informed about can be useful for Mexican and foreign mass media”, - commented the Head of the international department of the Mexican news agency “Notimex” Maria Lourdes.

The Ambassador of Russia in Mexico Valery Morozov noted that the new version of the RIA Novosti web-site implements all the opportunities of the modern multimedia. “The agency offers for its users not only the traditional forms of texts and photos, but also video, info graphics, caricatures on the up-to-date topics, even in Spanish language”, - declared the Ambassador.
