OPENING CEREMONY OF EXHIBITION
“TRAGEDY OF SOUTH OSETIA AND ABKHAZIA” IN UNAM

On October, 21st of 2009 in the Center of Studying of foreign languages of National independent university of Mexico (CELE UNAM) with direct participation of Representation of organization “Rossotrudnichestvo” (Russian Collaboration) in Mexico in the framework of the events under the general name «Russia today» has been opened the exhibition «Tragedy of South Osetia and Abkhazia».

In the opening solemn ceremony took part head stuff of CELE, and also well-known Mexican documentation journalist Raul Fahardo Ortis (has filmed documentary films about a situation in Afghanistan («Heroin Way»), the Chechen Republic, Yugoslavia, the author of the book «War and anti-terror – three scenarios of development of a situation», etc.), working on the central periodicals "Jornada", "Reforma", "Milenio", television channel "Once-TV".

Before the opening of the exhibition which have gathered audiences (more than 300 persons) Ortis documentary films “Osetia 08.08.08” and «Russia in 21 century – Moscow» were shown. Answering questions of spectators, the Mexican journalist has especially underlined that the tragically events which have occurred on Southern Caucasus in August, 2008, are directly connected to the Anti-Russian policy J. Bush administration which during a long time provided material and financial support to the president of Georgia M.Saakashvili.

In his speech the assistant of the Representative of “Rossotrudnichestvo” organization has thanked CELE UNAM management for possibility of the organization of the exhibition and has stressed the necessity of this type of events, which, in particular, allow students to create their own picture of tragically events concerning South Ossetia and Abkhazia. Then he underlined that Russia does not pursue the aim to impose the point of view to world community, and simply urges to consider objectively any crisis situations, receiving the information from the both sides involved, without relying on opinion only of the western Mass-Media.
