Reception in honour of Official State Holiday Day of Russia
in Russian Embassy in Mexico

Solemn Reception dedicated to the Official State Holiday – Day of Russia took part in the Russian Embassy on the 12 of June.

Heads of diplomatic missions and military attaches accredited in Mexico as well as members of both chambers of Parliament, journalists, scientists, officials of Ministry of Foreign Affairs and members of Russian society in Mexico – in all about 300, came to celebrate this day.

Participants accentuated attention on strengthening connections between Russia and Mexico, developing on the basis of respect, equal rights and mutual benefits in constructive course. It was noted that now we have many jointed projects, especially successful realized in culture and humanitarian areas. It was stressed several times that it is essential to utilize and to multiply huge potential of Russian-Mexican ties in different spheres.

Especially for the holiday in the Embassy was organized an exhibition about the history of main State symbols: National Flag, National Emblem and National Anthem. All participants also could acquainted with periodical thematic Informational Journal “Russian Compatriots in Mexico” in which were published materials about Russian Diaspora in Mexican land.
The concert of classical music performers created cordial and natural atmosphere, which created friendly and informal contacts of the guests. Besides all participants could taste traditional meals of Russian cuisine.
