Born in 1945.
1969 – graduated from the Moscow State University of International Relations of the Ministry of Foreign Affaires of the Soviet Union.
Worked in the Soviet and further Russian Embassies in Bolivia, Mexico, Argentina.
1997 - 2000 - Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Russian Federation in Venezuela, Gaity and Dominican Republic.
June 2000 – August 2005 – Director General of the Department of Latin America.
Member of the official Russian delegations at the 55, 57 and 58 sessions of the General Assembly of the UN, and at the 28, 31, 32 and 33 sessions of the General Assembly of the Organization of American States.
Represented Russian Federation at the bilateral consultations with the countries of Latin America, Europe, Japan, U.S.A., Canada, China and other.
Holds diplomatic rank of Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary.
Member of the Union of Journalists of Russia. Author of numerous publications on different aspects of internal and foreign policies of the Latin American countries.
Speaks Spanish and English.
Married, has a son.
