From March, 3 till March, 12th of 2010 in National Independent University of Mexico Rossotrudnichestvo with support and the Embassy of Russia organized festival «Russia in UNAM». National Independent University of Mexico (UNAM) — is the leader among higher educational institutions of the country.

Festival program consisted of series of lectures, round tables, photo-exhibitions and demonstrations of the Russian films. It gave all the Mexican students unique opportunity to get acquainted with variety of the Russian culture, art, a complex of bilateral political relations, and also last achievements of a science. Lectures covered such areas, as prospects of the Russian-Mexican economic relations and interuniversity cooperation. The students UNAM interested in art could also take part in a round table on a theme «Kandinsky's Abstract expressionism and Malevich's geometrical abstractionism», visit lecture «Chekhov for everybody and for ever», and also to look a documentary film «The Century of Stanislavsky».

Representative of Rossotrudnichestv organization Mr. Fedorov addressed the representatives of university Center of studying of foreign languages the lecture «Grants for the Mexican students, offered by the Russian Federation».

In the framework of the event there were also organized two exhibitions - «Walks across Russia» and «Portraits of the modern Russian woman», devoted to the International women's day.
